Dahl's Meat Market!
Dahl's sells USDA Choice Angus Pride Beef. Beef is graded for quality by U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) graders according to standard established by the USDA, Grades are based on the amount of marbling (flecks of fat within the lean) and the age of the animal. The quality grades indicate palatability characteristics such as tenderness, juiciness and flavor.
Meat Grades:
- Prime: The grade of beef which contains the greatest degree of marbling. It is generally sold to finer restaurants and to some selected meat stores.
- Choice: The grade preferred by many consumers because it contains sufficient marbling for taste and tenderness. Dahl's meats are selected from the Choice or Prime grades to assure that you will get the most flavorful cuts of the finest beef or pork.
- Select: Generally lower-priced grade of beef with the least amount of marbling which makes it not as tender, juicy and flavorful as the other two top grades.
